"You aaaaaare everybody!"

FACT: ABC’s new hit series, “Flash Forward”, has certain ties with our old friend, “Lost.”

FACT: Dominic Monaghan, the actor who plays Charlie, appears on future episodes of “Flash Forward,” stating boldly, “I know what caused the Flash Forward.”

FACT: An Oceanic Airlines billboard was seen around eight (fifteen, sixteen…) minutes into the pilot (ha!) episode of Flash Forward.

The following may be considered a spoiler:

Charlie knows what caused the Flash Forward, and the event that caused it was Desmond turning the key in the hatch, thus releasing an energy that made everyone NOT on the island black out for 2 minutes 17 seconds and see a vision of their future.

Is “Flash Forward” the first TV show to REQUIRES you to watch another show completely, before you can even START to comprehend what’s happening?  Normally, I would say fuck you.  But the show’s prerequisite is “Lost”… and “Lost” is the exception to everything.

(This turned out to be not true… according to IMDB, it seems the character’s name on “Flash Forward” is Simon.  Come to think of it, though, not everyone on “Lost” has a name that is what they say it is…)

SUPER Street Fighter 4 was officially revealed today, and nerds who want to beat up other nerds through games and youtube videos rejoiced at this new expansion. It will feature 8 new fighters, a new female fighter (who, unfortunately, is not revealing as much as Cammie or Chun-Li did in their heydays) and of course T-HAWK!!!!!! I mean come on people…who doesn’t wanna be the mexican native-american rendered in 3-D? Anyway, when I rent this one, I’m sure it will leave me with an hour of entertainment… just like SF4 did before I returned it the the next day after I beat it with Ryu (unoriginal… i know)

This new game will come at a reduced price (hopefully 55.99!!!!!) and should be out on your favorite consoles next year. Oh and btw… DeeJay is going to be in it.  MAX OUTT!!

New Xbox 360 Elite Bundle just released. This one includes Lego Batman (awesome), and Pure (never heard of it.) Including a controller and a 120 GB hard drive. For $299. Plus an extra $50 mail-in rebate until October 5th. Don’t have one? GO GET ONE! I’m personally thinking about trading in my 360 and paying the extra money just for the hard drive and black box. This is probably the only “black box” I’ll ever want in my entire life.

Star Wars: The Old Republic opened its signup for beta testing today, and within the hour, the site crashed.  Which, I guess, is understandable… World of Warcraft + Star Wars = an ejaculation in the sweatpants of every 300+ lb nerd on the interwebs.  Including myself… except for the 300+ lb part.  I’m a perfect physical specimen of nerdery.  Women flock to obtain a sample of my seed.  (The link is here… all you have to do is be a member of the site and check the Beta signup box in your account preferences.  Have fun pressing ‘refresh’ until it comes back up…)

According to G4TV.com, it looks like you’re gonna need a Gold account of Xbox Live to be able to access the facebook app.  This means that any gamers with girlfriends (all twenty three of us) will have to shell out another 50 bucks on a second gold account.  I know my girlfriend is gonna want to play with facebook on the TV.  Sometimes, being the only socially accepted nerd DOES have its disadvantages.

I don’t care what you say, but Tim Schafer is one hilarious metalhead. I am super psyched about Brutal Legend, and when I came across this video at G4TV.com, I got a a nerd boner for the future GOTY.  If this is the kind of humor I am in for during the entire game, I have a feeling that its gonna be one of the best gameplay experiences of all time.

The Zendikar prerelease is today and tomorrow, and frankly, I’m going.  There are the usual store prereleases, wherever that may be in your area, but there are also big convention prereleases with artists, and tons of side drafts with prizes.  Check out the locations for these large events here, or just stay in town and attend your local one.  Or don’t.  I don’t care.  It’s probably better that you don’t run into us.  The last prerelease I went to, my brother saw a group of 12 year old boys getting really excited over the new cards, and he screamed at them, “CALM THE FUCK DOWN.  YOU KIDS ARE NEVER GOING TO HAVE SEX IN YOUR LIVES.  EVER.”  Well, at least not sex that doesn’t involve a computer…
