Having trouble importing your Mass Effect 1 character data to Mass Effect 2? Here’s a simple fix:

If you have a “No character data found” message, you are going to have to have the Mass Effect 1 disc. Pop it in, and boot up the closest save you have to the final Saren boss fight. If you don’t have one close, play it through from the closest point possible. We had an unfinished Playthrough 1 save close to the end, and after completing the game, the save file showed up in the ME2 Character Importer. We also had a playthrough 2 character on Ilos, so we finished that out, the save showed up, the end.

That’s how ya do it, bitches!!!!

The Friday Night Magic foil for the month of November (previewed here) is Oblivion Ring.  All I have to say to this, is, “Thank God.”  Because frankly, I am really sick of Browbeat.  The first time I typed the word Browbeat on this post, I accidentally typed “Brownbeat.”  Which is fitting, I guess.  It might as well be brown.  I can’t cast it in any relevant format.  At least now I’ll get a foil that is actually worth playing in FNM.  And I will get it.  Many of them.  Oh, yes…

X-Play on G4TV is airing a half hour long special on this year’s upcoming Game Of The Year, Brutal Legend.  The hosts get an exclusive look at the game, plus an interview with rock/gaming god Tim Schaefer and some never before seen footage of the game.  I personally am going to DVR this, if I wasn’t too lazy to get up and actually walk to the TV to set it.  Sometimes I wish I had TiVo, so I could set my DVR to record without actually getting up.  They have a sweet iPhone app that allows you to do that.  Get coding on a Time Warner one, geeks!!!!  The nerds demand it.

Destructoid.com got a treasure chest delivered to their door yesterday.  They looted it, and what they found excites and offends me . Monster is releasing a new Call of Duty: MW2 flavor called Assault.  The side of the can reads:

While video game licensed beverages have been enjoyable in the past (Halo 3 Game Fuel and its rerelease as WoW game fuel), MW2 juice drops the ball here.  Monster has NEVER been good- it tastes like battery acid and has the consistency of cough syrup.  Red bull should take a hint and make a Brutal Legend energy drink- there’s an idea.

On the plus side, at least this will be good for the game.  My brother is addicted to both Call of Duty and energy drinks, so this will be right up his alley.  And of course, you can’t forget all the 9 year olds that are going to be on Xbox Live playing this game and drinking the juice.  Ever seen Role Models? Imagine playing the black kid from that movie, but he’s been freebasing for the past 36 hours.  I can’t WAIT to be banned from Live for the things I’m gonna scream over my headset.

Every girl needs to get their boyfriend a pair of these Guitar Hero pajama pants.  Although my sister got them for me as a joke, I thought they were phenom.  Yes, I do have a girlfriend… who is real… and who is also not my sister.   Be jealous.  Anyway… ITS GOT A DOOBIE HOLE!!! If I gotta take a piss, I just whip it out the hole.  Genius… perfect for poopsocking.  Thanks, Activision!

P.S.: By the way… don’t hate on my paintshop skills.  I don’t care what you people think about the cut and paste job.  I know I’m better.

FACT: ABC’s new hit series, “Flash Forward”, has certain ties with our old friend, “Lost.”

FACT: Dominic Monaghan, the actor who plays Charlie, appears on future episodes of “Flash Forward,” stating boldly, “I know what caused the Flash Forward.”

FACT: An Oceanic Airlines billboard was seen around eight (fifteen, sixteen…) minutes into the pilot (ha!) episode of Flash Forward.

The following may be considered a spoiler:

Charlie knows what caused the Flash Forward, and the event that caused it was Desmond turning the key in the hatch, thus releasing an energy that made everyone NOT on the island black out for 2 minutes 17 seconds and see a vision of their future.

Is “Flash Forward” the first TV show to REQUIRES you to watch another show completely, before you can even START to comprehend what’s happening?  Normally, I would say fuck you.  But the show’s prerequisite is “Lost”… and “Lost” is the exception to everything.

(This turned out to be not true… according to IMDB, it seems the character’s name on “Flash Forward” is Simon.  Come to think of it, though, not everyone on “Lost” has a name that is what they say it is…)
